Player Talent Evaluation:
 
Our highly-skilled talent consultants will give descriptive and unbiased evaluations of a player's abilities and potential in the areas of: mechanical skill work, injury potential, muscular communication, and general composure. A program is prescribed following evaluation.  The athlete can perform the program on his own or through the Boston Institute of Football with professional guidance from coaches who will drastically improve each player's game.  
We also recommend athletes to college and/or preparatory school programs that are a match to the talent and academic abilities of the athlete.
 
Mechanical Skill-specific Evaluation
 
Certain positions (most notably quarterback and offensive line) in football require the execution of very specific techniques.  Muscle memory is the key to greatness, but also to failure. As in all areas of life, repeating correct things over and over will lead to success; repeating destructive things will lead to perpetual failure. BIF will evaluate a player's mechanics and recommend ways to improve his game no matter the obstacle.
 
Injury Prevention
 
Football is one of, if not THE MOST physically demanding sport in the world. The violent nature of the game makes injury prevention one of the primary concerns of every coach, player, and parent. BIF will explain the fundamental principles behind injury prevention as well as teach athletes unique and proven techniques and strategies to avoid injury during the season.
 
diet rEVOLUTION
 
Diet is one of the most often overlooked pieces of athletic performance. How athletes eat directly affects the way they live.  The way we have been taught to eat is not only generally unhealthy, but a barrier to athletic success.
 
Through diet rEVOLUTION, we work with players to erase years of damaging information about "proper" nutrition and create a new successful eating paradigm that serves their athletic goals AND promotes enduring good health, freedom from disease, and consistency in energy. Athletes at BFI work with a Certified Sports Nutrition Manager (NOT a traditional nutritionist) to design a tailored meal program according to their body type, athletic goals, vulnerabilities, and activity regimen.
 
Institute members participating in diet rEVOLUTION will receive a five or seven day day meal plan (dependent on program) as well as weekly accountability meetings with their Certified Nutrition Manager. Each week, athletes will review what worked, where challenges are, and be held accountable to their nutritional commitments. Through this process, athletes will learn the proper mechanics of eating so they can eventually design and adapt their OWN eating program WITHOUT oversight, as physical needs change and evolve over time. diet rEVOLUTION helps football players succeed as an athlete by first teaching them, then supporting them, and finally, tailoring the new paradigm to their unique life and athletic goals.

"The Turnaround" - Coaches/Team Clinic:
 
Learn how to create a successful off-season program. In a series of efficient, two-hour sessions, BIF instructors will teach the fundamentals of off-season strength & conditioning that is the cornerstone of maximizing the players' athletic ability. Learn how to create explosiveness in the first step and through the hit,  increase lateral and linear speed and improve agility. Learn how to train in a manner that develops power previously unimagined. Learn how to train like a champion.
 
"Staying Healthy" - Coaches/Team Clinic
 
Ensure that your players understand functional movement patterns. In a series of efficient, two-hour sessions, BIF instructors will teach the basics behind injury cause and prevention. Learn the importance and techniques behind proper posture and body position. Learn how to train dynamic and static flexibility specifically for football. Strengthen the football athlete's base and core in a sport-spefic manner in order to be durable on the field. 
 
"Practice Makes Perfect" Coaches Only Clinic
 
In efficient, two-hour sessions, learn how to incorporate BIF principles on the field, including proper functional movement patterns and posture during stance and drill techniques. Rediscover what it is coaches should be looking for in football-specific motions and learn how to practice in a manner that constantly reinforces these motions. Learn how to practice like a champion.
 
"The Home Front" *Parent's ONLY Clinics*:
 
Parents are the most important people in the lives of young athletes. Learn how to help aspiring football players succeed at the highest level. Gain an understanding of fitness, nutrition, and training techniques in order to help protect young athletes from injury and better understand their athletic development. Learn the ins & outs of the prep school and college recruitment/admission process. This Clinic is designed to answer all questions and allow BIF to become a resource as athletes matriculate through the stages of American education. Along the way, parents are encourged to implement techniques to improve their own general health and the health of their entire family.
